This day I changed by blog’s theme to Scriptor. I have had couple of old posts, which I will move from the old archive to here. This theme is pretty cool, with very good fonts.

Genomes are fascinating. They are the sole source of information in living beings. Computational genetics, biochemistry and biology are rife with problems that are np-hard. As computer scientists, our goal is to come up with solutions that solve the problem biologists are facing in a way that is time and memory efficient.
In this post, I will look into the Stanford core NLP library and its capabilities. Preprocessing text is an important first step in natural language processing. For example you might have some text that you want word tokenize and find out POS Tags for each and every word. Stanford core NLP comes to the rescue in that case.

Whether its the eastern world where the rustic country spirit powered by chilling breezes originating somewhere in the Himalayas, or the western world that has always(sort of) aggrandized about how great the western civilization is, one of the things that I have experienced in my short life of 25 years is that, in this digital age, where all the people in social media are always happy and doing something with their life :D, people are becoming more and more morally bankrupt. Morality is something deeply inculcated in the religious doctrine of both Abhramic and Dharmic religions, but people seem to care less about morality.
